    @BugzyV

    In the simplest way I can possibly put it :

    MOSFETs are tiny electronic components that regulate the flow of electricity, such as switches a device that boosts electrical signals. The drain, gate, and source are the main parts of it. A current of electricity begins at the source and ends at the drain. Like a control switch, the gate connects the source and drain. The MOSFET's layout decides whether the electric field generated by a voltage applied to the gate permits or limits current flow across the source and drain.

    @BugzyV The Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor is a type of transistor. For the basic breakdown of how a transistor works you can refer to this video, a good explainer!
